Department of Community Services of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi enriches citizens by
providing every possible opportunity to all men, women and children for development of their individual personality.
At present, there are 151 Community Halls, 39 Community Centres, 61 Reading Rooms, and 20 Recreation Centres for Senior Citizens. Community Services Department also provides the following services : Booking of Community HallsFilm Shows Redressal of Public Grievances Facility to Retired Municipal Employees Grant-in-Aid Charitable Institutions Old Age Pension |
The Department makes available Community Halls on rent to public and voluntary organisations for marriages and
other social functions. Arrangements have been made at the Community Halls and Centres for running nursery classes and
for training women in tailoring embroidary, knitting, painting, cooking, beautician courses etc. besides arranging
television, music programmes, film shows for the public as well as Recreation Centres for senior citizens.
