1. Who is eligible for applying for trade license?
A person who intends to set up a trade can apply for a trade license.
2. Where to apply for a trade license?
An application for a trade license can be made either at a CSB or through the internet.
3. In case of application sent through the internet, where should the necessary documents be submitted?
The applicant can submit the necessary documents at any of the CSBs after marking the document with the unique acknowledgement number allotted to his application on the internet.
4. What documents are required for applying for a new trade license?
The following documents have to be submitted for a new trade license:
  1. Documentary proof of legal occupancy/tenancy
  2. Copy of Memorandum of Association if any
  3. Site plan
  4. Key Plan
  5. NOC for Rs.10/- in case of co-owner in favour of the applicant
  6. Copy of Sanction Plan and CC (Completion Certificate) of the building if any
  7. Structure Safety Certificate of the building from a registered architect
  8. Proof of Electricity and Water Connection
  9. Letter of Power Load Sanction from Assistant Commissioner of Factory in case of Water cooling plant, Ice cream factory, big baking unit, packaged/processed/mineral water, aerated water/soda factory.
  10. Indemnity Bond for Rs.100/-(Matter approved by MCD)
  11. Affidavit for Rs.10/-(Matter approved by MCD)
  12. NOC from DCP Licensing in case of cinema halls, gyms, lodging houses, swimming pools etc.
  13. Updated tax and pest control certificates in case of cinema halls
  14. In case of mobile catering vans-
    • NOC from ACP Traffic
    • Copy of RC, Insurance
    • Updated Road Tax, Fitness, Commercial Number
  15. Copy of partnership deed if any
  16. Medical Fitness and Vaccination Certificate against Typhoid of food handlers in eating establishments
5. What documents are required for renewal of a trade license?
The following documents have to be submitted for renewal of trade license:
Category-1
  1.  Original License copy
  2.  Any other documents, if asked for
Category-2
  1.  Original License copy
  2.  Application for renewal with documents as applicable
6. What documents are required for issue of a duplicate trade license?
The following documents have to be submitted for issue of a duplicate trade license:
  1.  First Information Report (FIR)
  2.  Indemnity Bond in prescribed format
7. What fees/charges are to be paid along with application submission?
An amount of Rs.500/- per application will be collected as processing charges, which includes handling charges of Rs.50/- plus service charges.
8. How many days will it take to get a trade license?
It will take 30 working days from the date of payment of processing and other charges by the applicant for issue of a trade license at the Zonal level. Whereas it will take 45 days for cases pertaining to Headquarter level.
9. What is the license fee to be paid for obtaining a trade license?
License fee at the following rates has to be paid:
For Category A : (Conforming Area / Local Commercial Area)
    As applicable
For Category B (Non-Conforming Area / Household)
    As applicable
10. What is the license fee to be paid for renewing a trade license?
License fee at the following rates has to be paid:
For Category A : (Conforming Area / Local Commercial Area)
    As applicable
For Category B : (Non-Conforming Area / Household)
    As applicable
11. What is the late fee to be paid in case of renewal of a trade license?
Late fee to be paid in case of renewal of a trade license is:
If renewed between 1st March and 30th April - no late fee
If renewed after 30th April - late fee charges @ Rs.100/- p.m
If renewed after 1 year - late fee charges @ Rs.100/- p.m. and the actual license fee for each year or part thereof
12. From where should the trade license be collected?
The trade license will be issued by hand to the citizen at the CSB or couriered to the address requested by the citizen.
13. Whom to approach for changes?
Any of the CSBs may be approached.
14. Will a duplicate license be issued?
Yes. A duplicate license will be issued on payment of Rs.100/- towards processing charges and on submission of the required documents.
15. When can a duplicate license be applied for?
In case the original was lost, mutilated, destroyed, etc.
