its establishment

VIGILANCE BEING INHERENT PART OF ANY ADMINSTTRATIVE AUTHORITY LIKE MCD IS ESSENTIAL FOR ENSURING ADMINISTRATIVELY BETTER GOVERNED PUBLIC AUTHORITY. VIGILANCE DEPARTMENT CAME INTO BEING AFTER THE ENACTMENT OF THE DMC ACT, 1957 FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS VARIOUS PROVISIONS & THE PROVISIONS OF DMC CONTROL & APPEAL REGULATIONS, 1959.

TO PERFORM DUTIES OF VIGILANCE AS PER CCS (CONDUCT) RULES, VIGILANCE MANUAL & AS PER DMC (CONTROL & APPEAL) REGULATIONS INCULDING PROCESSING THE CASES FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Duties to be performed to achieve the mission

 

 

 

 

INVESTIGATION, PROSECUTIONS, PRESENTING THE CASES BEFORE DISCIPLINARY AUTHORITIES & ENSURING THE IMPOSITION OF PENALTIES ON THE DELINQUENT EMPLOYEES.

 

TO MAINTAIN LISTS OF DOUBTFUL INTEGRITY LIKE AGREED LISTS ETC., IN RESPECT OF M.C.D. EMPLOYEES & PREVENTIVE VIGILANCE ACTIVITIES AT PERIODIC INTERVALS.

Details of services rendered

TO LOOK INTO THE COMPLAINTS REGARDING MCD DEPARTMENTS/EMPLOYEES FUNCTIONING, RECEIVED FROM THE PUBLIC APART FROM THE CVC, CBI, ACB/GNCTD & VIPs.

7.

Citizens interaction

THROUGH POST, PERSONAL HEARING BEFORE THE HIGHER AUTHORITIES, TELEPHONE, FAX & E-MAIL.
